We believe that all lives matter!
Our mission is to rescue, re-habilitate and re-home unwanted and abandoned animals irrespective of age, appearance or medical needs. We believe that all animals deserve a chance to have a happy and safe future in a loving and caring home. We work extremely hard to take animals in need into our care, restore their health, their trust in us and to find them homes where they will feel happiest.
We’ll never give up on an animal
We are absolutely a 100% non-destruct organisation, unless absolutely medically necessary. This means that we will not disregard or give up on an animal because of it’s age, appearance or medical needs. We go the extra mile to return any animal in our care back to their full strength and health, giving them a second chance in life that they may not have had before.
How are we funded?
Poppys Place is a non-profit organisation, investing all of our earnings and donations back into the maintenance, enrichment and improvement of our facilities. We endeavour to raise funds via our events, car boot sales, public donations and sponsorship. We have amazing supporters who run their own fundraisers and make the most out of every situation.
Our long-term vision is to become even bigger and better! We aim to be one of East Anglia’s most productive and well known animal rescues; to be at the forefront of education in the local school and college sector and to be an active part of the community; to provide cutting edge care to all animals at Poppys Place and have open access to the public during set times for viewing, educating and environmental enrichment.
In time, our goal is to provide a safe haven for a wide scope of animals, domestic, agricultural and exotic; to have state of the art on-site facilities such as a veterinary surgery, animal hydrotherapy, a groomers and public conveniences, a coffee shop and a gift shop, which will be in place to support the ongoing improvements and development of our rescue.
